It is small. The exhibit is a room in a walk-up apartment. People lived in the apartment for 50 years. Now it’s been vacant for 50 years.

The room is drunk with mood. It didn’t need anything, so we did very little. Posted some lyric, added a bit of structure and texture. In the end, we decided to include a couple of photographs and a painting.

The Observer will sense something familiar in the room. The difficulty will be in remembering: Does the familiarity result from an event that occurred in Waking Life, or was it in Dreaming Life?

About the title, it means nothing. Walk Like An Egyptian was a catchy little pop tune from the 80’s… fun stuff. The word “Egyptian” evokes mystery. And that’s how the exhibit is intended: equal parts of mystery and fun.
